Once all the protein and bony meat (chicken, duck, rabbit) is ground, then I mix in about 20% more bright colored vegetables and fruits. Then I regrind the dog food with the 6mm (1/4 inch) plate, with SmokeHouseChef's #12 2inch horn attached directly into 1 pound meat bags. I did 32 pounds of dog food, ground, bagged, taped, and in the freezer in about 90 minutes.
>.. These plates and blades are Stainless Steel, very solid, and work well in my Cabela's 3/4HP #12 grinder. They are easy to clean and dry for storage until the next time I grind. I am very pleased that this set was offered, as the combination will be good for sausage making later in the year.
