This is my first Stainless Steel plate and I have only used it once on a Hobart MG1532 Mixer/Grinder. Mainly I was wanting to see how the 1/4" hole worked with my sausage. It fit the grinder perfectly but I was expecting it to be a little bit thicker. (Although the thickness didn't seem to impair it's performance, it will limit the number of times I can sharpen it.) I ran about 400 lb. of seasoned pork through it and had no problems at all. Last week, I bought a stainless steel blade to match with the plate, also from SomkeHouseChef. I am impressed with their prices and quick delivery. Also, last week I called SmokeHouseChef to ask a question and actually got a real human being that had my answers. Needless to say, I have "Bookmarked" them on my computer.
